Old School goes green (and warm and fuzzy)

Jul18
2012
Written by Ibti Vincent, Outreach Specialist

Old School Hardware has been a kind sponsor of CHFestivus for two years now. OHS staff make a point of visiting the market once a month to meet with Columbia Heights neighbors and build community. And they’re not only looking out for our human neighbors: the local hardware store has been working with the Washington Humane Society to help get some exposure for adoptable animals. In fact, they have two foster kittens at the store right now, Scooby and Scrappy:

How cute are they? I mean, really??

Right. Hardware.

You know, there’s nothing quite like the personal service at a small, local hardware store like Old School Hardware. And now they’ve got even more “green” products in stock. Stop by the OHS table this Saturday to check out their compostable garbage bags, No-VOC paint, a variety of natural cleaning products, and more. (I can’t promise that the kittens will be at the market, but you can check….)
