About

The Columbia Heights Community Marketplace builds and strengthens the Washington, D.C.–neighborhood’s culture, community, and economy through local, sustainably produced food, entertainment, arts, and community service. It does this by educating and empowering community members, especially youth, to learn about and gain employment in local food, farming, entertainment, and community service. The result is a community full of healthy people eating healthy food grown near home and while putting their skills to work building a strong, local economy.

Our 2011 season ran from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday from May 7 through Saturday, December 17 at the Columbia Heights civic plaza, located at the intersection of 14th Street, NW and Park Road, NW. (One block from the Columbia Heights Metro Station on the Green line). We look forward to seeing you at the Marketplace in the spring of 2012.
