Join Columbia Heights Community Marketplace’s Opening Day Celebrations on April 19
The Columbia Heights Community Marketplace (The Marketplace) will open for its fifth season on April 19. Come celebrate the long anticipated return of spring at the Marketplace with a ribbon cutting, a raffle full of enviable prizes, live music, and, most importantly, fresh, local food!
Farmers’ Market: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Ribbon Cutting: 10 am
Music: 10:30am – 12:30pm
The opening week of the market will feature a wide range of products, including apples, potatoes, cheese, charcuterie, grass-fed beef, chicken, and pork, artisan breads and pastries, and more!
The Marketplace is excited to welcome four new vendors for the 2014 season!
Everblossom Farm – Certified Organic produce out of East Berlin, PA
Teeny Pies – Fresh, seasonal, sweet and savory pies made with local ingredients
Island Queen Cuisine – Authentic Jamaican patties, jerk and curry chicken, and other Jamaican specialties
Timber Pizza Company: Starting in May, fresh wood-oven fired pizzas, made exclusively with local ingredients. Stay tuned for website and more info!
